To all landowners and operators. It is illegal to water a public road with a center pivot irrigation systems per Nebraska State Statute §39-301. It is the responsibility of all landowners and operators to ensure the end guns on their center pivots are shutting off before they reach public roads. Any damage to the public road could result in fines and/or payment for the damages that occur. Center pivot owners/operators also assume liability to the traveling public for creating a driving hazard on a public road.

Juvenile Services Officer
Phelps County and Kearney County are currently accepting
applications for a part time juvenile services officer to work
across both counties. This position will require familiarity
with the juvenile justice system and pretrial diversion programs.
Responsibilities will include grant applications and administration
including writing and managing grants for juvenile services.
The candidate should have some experience working with juveniles and
grant writing experience, but willing to train the right candidate
who has a passion for serving juveniles. This will be a part
time position of about 15-30 hours per month beginning in October
and has the potential to turn into a full time position after 9
months. Ideal candidate will help develop a community juvenile
services plan, apply for grant funding to further that plan,
administer juvenile diversion programs, and deal with truancy
issues. Must be able to do data entry and be familiar with
